Compensating for a decline in dispensary margins hasn't been
easy
for many pharmacy operators, nor is getting customers to return to buy more. Johnston Rorke Chartered Accountants recently released a report showing additional growth in retail sales of $1.07 per script from those pharmacies using the DispensaryLoop system. The average retail sale per script was $1.81 per script against the control group of 74c bringing the average increase to $1.07. The top performing pharmacy achieved 3.94 per script. When asked to comment, Hilary Kahn said 'Whist I am delighted with the figure of $1.07, I however feel this is underdone by at least $2.00. If only pharmacists could provide additional advice on things they can do and take to look and feel better, they would not only increase their sales but would emotionally bind many of their customers to their pharmacy for some time to come.
